NAACP Minneapolis

Welcome to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans.

"I see this as an opportunity to rebirth the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP. We will be a force to be reckoned with in the Twin Cities and across the state in our fight for racial, social and economic justice."
-Nekima Levy-Pounds, Previous NAACP President
